These sweets are made to perfection by the village women of the Kandyan region. We use authentic ingredients carefully hand-picked, selected and sourced to give you a lasting taste of Kandyan hospitality.
When you trap the love oozing from Kithul palm trees and hand mix it with rice flour, infuse it with Coconut, put in a pinch of local spices and swirl in a dash of jaggery and a touch of tradition, you create these gourmet sweets.
Whether that is Mung Kawum with the shape of a diamond, or konda kevum with a bump at the top, or kokis – the Dutch cookies with a Lankan twist, or halapa held in the embrace of a banana leaf, these sweets are food for the soul.

Chamindranee kiriella, Thanuja Madawala and Anjalika Madawala, Athi Rasa is their way of paying homage to Sri Lankan culture and cuisine. As a family of culinary artisans originating from Kandy. Ruwanwella and Matale.their childhoods were centred around their grandmother feeding and nurturing them with these sweets in the heart of her kitchen With Athi Rasa, their mission is to share these experiences with customers.
Traditionally we have been taking Sri Lankan sweetmeats for any occasion but now it has become westernized.
Our beautifully curated gift boxes include a selection of traditional favourites such as kavum, kokis, mung kavum, narang kavum, bulto, and milk toffee. What makes Athi Rasa truly special is our four unique kokis flavours — cinnamon, suduru, chilli, and the classic kokis. Every gift box is thoughtfully designed and made from scratch with care, passion, and a whole lot of love.
